Our family just returned from a 4,500 mile roadtrip to the American West and back. We visited four national parks, one national memorial, and one state park. So much beauty. So much fun. Along the way, I was repeatedly reminded of the goodness and creativity of God.
In addition to our travels, I came across some great articles. Everything listed below was helpful, encouraging, or informative to me during the month of July. I hope it blesses you.

1. Are All Sins Equal Before God? (Part 1)
“About once a year in my theology or Bible classes, a student will say something like the following: ‘But as we know, all sins are equal in God’s sight.’” Dr. McNall addresses this statement in the first part of a two part post.
A great reflection about grief and hope. “Hope in the truth of our future with Christ does not always lessen the pain we experience today. Rather, hope becomes a companion that walks with us to a greater degree in light of loss.”
3. A Response to N.T. Wright on Abortion
“I recognize that Wright is driven to his position on abortion by genuine concern for the mother. However, while victims of rape certainly deserve our compassion, a mother in the tragic circumstances Wright envisions would be better served by Christian leaders who refuse the spirit of the age and insist that violence is not the answer.”

5. God Is Jealous, but Never Envious
I found the distinction described here helpful. “In modern English, most people do not distinguish between jealousy and envy. The two words sound identical. Yet in reality they are near opposites.”
